Here Comes the Tour – Questions and Answers

Quick tour information and some questions from Instagram

The Forging Silver into Stars book tour starts this Saturday, 6/4, so I wanted to put a post together so we can make this as fun and easy as possible!

A quick round up of links:Ā

I opened my Instagram inbox to questions and here’s some of what you all had to ask:

Ā
  • “If we’re attending an event would you sign other books we bring on that day? šŸ“š
    • Yes! A few things to consider. 1 – Out of respect for the store hosting the event, please expect to purchase a book from the store to enter the signing line. 2 – Depending on the size of the event, if youre bringing more than 3 books from home you may be asked to wait for the end of the signing line. This is just a courtesy to everyone in line.
  • A Heart so Fierce and Broken age recommendation and one for FSIS? āš”
    • AHSFAB doesn’t have any profanity and no romantic content beyond kissing. So I’d say 12+/6th grade+. FSIS doesn’t have much profanity but there are more intimate moments on the page (though nothing explicit) And there are some heavier topics that might be better suited for 13-14+/8th grade+
  • Favorite quote in the book? šŸ“‘
    • “Fate has already dawn a path beyond this moment. Let’s follow it through.”Ā
  • Do you promise I can read FSIS without finishing Cursebreaker yet? šŸ˜Ÿ
    • There will obviously be *some* over-arching plot points that will be spoiled (like who’s on the throne at the end of the first trilogy), but I’ve already heard from some readers who’ve read them out of order who said it didn’t affect their enjoyment of the trilogy.Ā
  • I know you’ve shared before but can you please share your personalization policy again please? āœ’
    • I’m pretty easygoing, so I don’t really have any hard and fast rules, but I won’t sign my name to a quote written by another author/artist/singer/poet/creative person, even if you think its relevant to me and my books. Also, just as an aside, I’m truly happy to write quotes when I’m doing personalizations. I especially love requests like “Write something for an aspiring author” or “I’d love a quote for someone just beginning their fitness journey”Ā
  • Will you be taking pictures with attendees at upcoming signings? šŸ“·
    • ABSOLUTELY
  • Do you have a playlist for this book? I’m already obsessed with FSIS! šŸŽ¶
  • Whats the hardest part about writing a new story in the same world as previous books? šŸ—ŗ
    • Determining how much information and back story I needed to share about what happened in the past. My editor was an incredible ally in helping me figure out what to keep and what to cut.Ā
  • Are you working on book 2? ā‰
    • Yes! Writing it right now!
  • More scary Grey!? šŸŽ
    • Oh you’ll see him several times – through different eyes though. You’re seeing him through Tycho, who loves him like a brother and mentor. And you’re seeing him through Jax and Callyn, who see him in a very different way.Ā
  • Favorite moment in the book? (If you can share spoiler free) šŸ’ž
    • There are so many! But the one that truly took me by surprise was when Rhen and Tycho have *that* conversation. I didn’t plan it. It just happened. And yes, its about what happened in AHSFAB
  • What self care do you want to prioritize? šŸ’…Ā
    • Anything involving a barbell šŸ‹ļøā€ā™‚ļø
